In a recent interview, singer Adam Lambert claims that he has had sex with Hollywood actors who are in the closet.
The singer told Glamour UK, "I've been with a few of them", referring to actors who keep their homosexuality a secret.
"Whether it's music or acting, you've got to remember that those industries are primarily run by men, so maybe it's about that," the openly gay performer stated, offering a possible explanation for gay actors who fear coming out in public.
Lambert also theorized that as entertainment consumers, women would be less likely to care about an actor's sexual preferences. "With women being the primary movie-goers and record-buyers, surely it shouldn't matter so much?"
The adventurous American Idol alumnus also reveals his admiration for women has spilled into the bedroom.
"I think women are beautiful," the singer proclaimed, "and I always notice when girls smell really good. Like most gay men, I’m drawn to really confident women… I have slept with a woman before. I did it for the first time when I was 29. It was a random thing but I was very curious. It felt great."
Lambert's new album The Original High will be released this summer. The first single, "Ghost Town", is out now.
