After Romeo Sends An A Cappella Hello To Adele

The boys of After Romeo are openly huge fans of pop culture, and you need to check out their a cappella tribute performance of Adele’s “Hello!”

The boys of After Romeo are openly huge fans of pop culture, and they have made a habit of putting their own spin on some of the most momentous happenings as they occur.  Just last month TC, Jayk, Blake, and Drew got in the spirit of all things horror by channeling The Walking Dead and American Horror Story in a series of spooktacular Halloween themed videos.

Today (November 13) the “Where The People Go” crooners are paying tribute to quite possibly the biggest name in music at the moment: Adele.  As we edge ever closer to the impending release of Adele’s 25, the project’s lead single “Hello” burrows deeper into our heart.  After Romeo quite simply had to pay tribute to the track, but they had to do it their way.

Discussing the process to create their tribute, Drew claims that “it took us a minute to figure out how to make this unique.”  Luckily the guys hit the studio to experiment with a few different approaches before settling upon an a cappella performance of the single.  True to the style After Romeo did away with all instruments for the performance.  The result is without a doubt aca-awesome.

Splitting the song into a series of solos TC, Jayk, Blake, and Drew each showcase their vocals before coming together to create breathtakingly beautiful harmonies on the song’s iconic chorus.  In an accompanying music video the group takes to the streets for an emotional performance.  The track’s brokenhearted message takes on a new meaning as After Romeo’s members perform the track in a series of abandoned settings.

Take a listen to their impressive a cappella treatment of “Hello” below!

Huge props to After Romeo for providing an innovative new take on Adele’s “Hello.”  Their cover pays tribute to the track, but it stands out from the slew of other covers that have flooded social media!  Nothing like an a cappella performance to keep it fresh and fun!
