Ryan Murphy is holding on strong to that chameleon reputation he has cultivated. Murphy has helmed so many different stellar television shows; it’s almost hard to keep up. He has gone from the dark and disturbing (Nip/Tuck), to light and airy (Glee), to topical and comedic (The New Normal), to downright terrifying and twisted (American Horror Story). Murphy’s latest creation will be an HBO show, entitled Open, which has been described as a sex drama. Aisha Tyler has recently been announced as one of the many big names to star in the new project. Tyler will play Monica, a “happily-married nurse,” who will play opposite Michelle Monaghan’s Grace who has a more contemporary outlook on marriage. Murphy will be collaborating with Lauren Gussis, of Dexter fame, to get Open up and running. The show has been described as a “modern provocative exploration of human sexuality and relationships.” Open boasts an incredible cast, including Fringe’s Anna Torv, Jennifer Jason Leigh of Revenge, The Hunger Games’ Wes Bentley, and Underworld’s sexy hybrid, Scott Speedman. Tyler has a history with Murphy, as she played Jake Puckerman’s mom in a 2012 episode of Glee. http://www.Twitter.com/PopWrapped https://pop-wrapped.tumblr.com http://www.SoundCloud.com/PopWrapped http://www.Facebook.com/PopWrapped http://www.Instagram.com/PopWrapped http://www.Pinterest.com/PopWrapped http://www.YouTube.com/PopWrapped https://pop-wrapped.wordpress.com http://www.PopWrapped.com
