Dadeville, Alabama's City Council have put forward a shocking new ordinance that would ban the public from wearing saggy pants, miniskirts and short shorts.
This notion was originally put forward by Councilman Frank Goodman, who believed that a saggy pants ban would promote respectful behaviour. Goodman has said that he has prayed to God and God "would not go around with pants down". In attempt to not appear sexist and promote favouritism, Councilwoman Stephanie Kelley has said she thinks that girls are wearing clothes looking like "undergarments", and that these items (short shorts and mini skirts) should be banned as well.
This bill put forward by Goodman has been successfully backed by the council members. City Attorney Robin Reynolds has hoped to have the ordinance ready soon, in order to be officially passed at the next meeting.
What do you think about the banning of clothing? Do you think that City Councils should be able to have this power? Comment below.
