American Idol fans across the internet were shocked when Alex Preston, in 3rd place during the show's recent 13th season, left the show. With his reserved, "coffee shop" style, laidback demeanor, and his not being afraid to take artistic liberties, he'd quickly become a fan favorite. Despite not winning the show, Alex has had an eventful, productive time since being booted from Idol. After wrapping up the summer American Idol XIII tour alongside winner Caleb Johnson, runner-up Jena Irene, and the rest of the Top 10, the singer-songwriter recently unveiled a new website. You can check it out for yourself by clicking this link, where you'll be greeted by a tasteful black-and-white photo of Alex and a variety of links to follow alongside the menu header. By visiting the his bio page, you will see just how accomplished Alex is in just his 21 years on Earth thus far - having interacted and worked with the likes of Jason Mraz, Ariana Grande, Fall Out Boy, and Phillip Phillips is no small set of feats! The final sentence of that biography is what'll truly get fans up and jumping, though: "Alex has written many personal songs, and is in the process of recording a 3 song EP, planned to be released before Christmas." With an EP on the way soon enough and a new website to dig into, fans of Alex of plenty of reasons to look forward to what the first steps into this new chapter of his career will look like. Kudos Alex, and good luck - we'll be keeping tabs!
