There are very few, if any, television shows that have inspired artists to create new, experimental pieces quite like The Simpsons. The long-running animated show has had myriad art inspired by it, and for a Russian photographer named Alexander Kholov, he just needed to create something for himself.
Kholov, who is known for his amazing photographic skills, as demonstrated in his previous collections such as 2D Or Not 2D and Weird Beauty, molded a model to look like Marge Simpson, and the resemblance is uncanny.
The artwork was created by attaching many chrysanthemums to a large wire frame, which was then hoisted onto the head of the model, who has just been through highly detailed makeup to make her skin yellow and give her a broad smile and large white eyes to resemble the iconic Marge, and then spray-painted blue to imitate Marge Simpson’s well-known beehive hairstyle.
