It's time to DANCE! Rising synth-pop princess Alexx Mack (of Like We're Famous fame) has teamed up with Swedish house producer John Dahlback for a project, and the electrifying duo are gearing up to take you to some exciting new highs with their hot new collab. The song in question is titled "Count To Ten," and it is featured on Dahlback's upcoming album Saga.
Mack shared a link to the project on her Facebook account last Friday (Nov. 20).
Dahlback posted a similar message on his account, asking fans to count to ten and promising that "all your dreams will come true." Sounds promising!
The track kicks off with a stuttering intro before moving right into the first performance of the chorus. A fervid electo-tinged Dahlback production sets the scene for a downright joyful bop. "Close your eyes and count to ten / boy don't cry you'll see me when / the sun is up we feel alive" Mack playfully croons as she convinces him to play a game of hide and seek while the track builds to a crescendo. Mack's voice breaks and builds upon itself as she promises to her lover that "I will be there," delivering an epic dance break for listeners.
On the bridge,
Dahlback pulls back some of the production in favor of a driving beat and some atmospheric synth,
while Alexx Mack's vocals take center stage. Mack sings about a lover, claiming that she can still hear him calling her name and promising that she'll always be by his side.
