We’re less than a month away from the premiere of Game Of Thrones, which will be returning to HBO on April 12 with its fifth season. As time goes by, the more we get to find out about the all-new episodes we’re about to watch, so here’s all we have so far.
To begin with, a brand-new trailer was unveiled earlier this month and it’s called “The Wheel”, mostly focusing on Emilia Clarke’s Daenerys Targaryen. The fan-favorite Khaleesi explains that the reigning families of Westeros are just spokes on a wheel, with the leading one each time in charge of the spinning. She goes on to reveal her plans about that wheel in a badass way, saying “I’m not going to stop the wheel; I’m going to break the wheel”. With winter on the way, we’re given a peek at every single one of our beloved characters in promising new sequences. The cold weather shouldn’t be an issue though, as the dragons look well-prepared to warm things up. If anything, the trailer further guarantees that there will be blood. Give it a look below.
As per usual, Entertainment Weekly also made sure to grab some exclusive footage from this upcoming season of Game Of Thrones. Maisie Williams, Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, and Peter Dinklage posed as Arya Stark, Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen and Tyrion Lannister respectively for four collectiblecovers of the magazine and an accompanying photoshoot. They all look stunning in the snaps, with Williams showing off her character’s new image. Take a look.

However, there’s more than a Game Of Thrones cover shoot granted by EW, as we’re also given a closer look at the action through teaser photos. The footage finds main characters such as Daenerys, Tyrion, Mr. Snow and Sansa sharing the spotlight with the rest, equally stunning ones. Ellaria, Tyene, Obara and Nymeria Sand all make an appearance, along with Prince Doran Martell, Areo Hotah, Varys, Margaery Tyrell, Littlefinger, Melisandre and Missandei in Meereen. Check them all out below.

And last but not least, another teaser preview was shared a couple of days ago, to further build hype. This one makes use of scenes from both full-length Game Of Thrones trailers released so far, with Varys’ hints of Daenerys’ domination once again brought to the front. The short clip is right below for your own viewing pleasure.
In other Game Of Thrones-related news, the show might not actually come to an end after the expected seven seasons. Apparently, it was made public by HBO executives that the network would love to run the show for a total of ten seasons. Even though the writers are currently working on a seven-season schedule and do see the end of the series, things are likely to change and we sure hope that ends up being the case! After all, how could we possibly get enough of this brilliant television event?
Now doesn’t the forthcoming, fifth season of Game Of Thrones look all kinds of amazing so far?! We know you’re just as excited for the show’s comeback, so make sure you don’t miss it on April 12, on HBO.
