It appears Lea Michele has decided she is ready to wade back into the dating pool again. It has been almost a year since the tragic passing of her boyfriend and Glee co-star, Cory Monteith, and Michele is comfortable to try her hand at dating again.
She met her new love interest, Matthew Paetz, on the set of her music video “On My Way” back in April. Her new beau is an actor/model, and has seemed to be a good addition to her life. However, there seem to be some questions circling around about Paetz’s past. TMZ alleges that he was a former gigolo operating under the name “Christian.” He was a part of the well-known escort service “Cowboys4Angels.” It appears as though after he started dating Lea that he is no longer apart of the male escort business.
photo courtesy of PeopleSomeone who is close to Lea had this to say about her thoughts on dating, “For a long time, Lea wasn’t close to even thinking about getting into a relationship; Cory’s death was and will continue to be a struggle for her.” With the one year anniversary quickly approaching, it might be nice for her to have someone to lean on. While on The Ellen Show she told Ellen, “You can literally lose yourself if you don’t actually die from it; [Cory] would want me to live my life.”
It’s nice to see that Lea Michele is not allowing the tragedy to consume her life, and is allowing herself to move on. While she has met someone new, there is no doubt that she will always hold a place in her heart for Cory.
