The Queen of Pop and Swedish DJ/producer Avicii have joined forces and are working on new music.
This was confirmed by Madonna herself via instagram, by sharing a picture of her with the caption: “Doing some house work after 4 hours of sleep which is why I can’t spell! On my way to the studio to work with Avicii! #clean”.
Tim Bergling, best known as Avicii, had one of the biggest hits last year with the single “Wake Me Up!” and also hit the top five with “Hey Brother” and “You Make Me”.
This is not the first time they team up as he previously remixed Madonna’s single “Girl Gone Wild”.
Madonna confirmed last month that she was working on a new album:
“Yes, plans are in the works already. Don’t ask me with who – it’s a secret. Top secret” she revealed at the launch of her latest gym.
Avicii recently spoke with Rolling Stone about what he looks for in a collaborator, saying: “I’m pretty open-minded: I just look for talent. I can work with singers, but I get along better with other songwriters because it’s a more creative environment. I’m very particular about certain things. Melody, I’m a super control freak. But rhythms and lyrics, I let go a lot more”.
Sounds like he and the material girl can make one hell of a team!
Her last studio album, MDNA, released in 2012 reached #1 in both the US and UK.
Avicii, who last year ranked #3 in the list of Top 100 DJs, will release his single “Addicted to You: on April 7th.
