Well, this got me quite emotional.
From yesterday's rather special Star Wars panel at Comic-Con (not jealous at all of those who attended) came not a trailer, rather a very lovely behind-the-scenes video reel of The Force Awakens, which naturally brought anyone who dared to watch a quivering mess of tears and sweat and excitement.
The three-and-a-half minute video looks at the reality of making a new Star Wars movie in the 21st century, primarily on keeping as focused as possible in the most extraordinary of situations. The panel featured interviews with newcomers John Boyega and Daisy Ridley along with original Star Wars legends such as Luke Skywalker himself, Mr. Mark Hamill.
Showcasing the rather exceptional practical effects that director JJ Abrams has instilled into the film, the behind-the-scenes video also gives us a glimpse into who is hidden inside these wonderful creations. A certain Star Wars fanboy (perhaps the biggest), known to his friends and his fans as one Simon Pegg, makes an appearance, confirming his involvement. Presumably in the film he's going to be inside a creature, it's going to be great fun trying to find him amongst the crowds.
Watch the video below and get hyped for what is probably going to be the biggest film of the year. Perhaps the decade.
Get in line December 18th 2015. I still can't quite believe it's happening.
