As everyone know unless you have been living under a rock, pop queen, music icon, Beyoncé released her latest studio album called Beyoncé, without any promotion whatsoever, on 13th December 2013. The album includes 14 brand new tracks, including collaborations with Frank Ocean and Drake. It also includes 17 brand new music videos. It has been regarded as an “immersive visual album”, and has had record sales. The album is being sold exclusively on iTunes. This exclusivity and sudden release has made an impact on the sales of the physical copy of the album.
Internet superstore giant Amazon.com, announced they are choosing not to stock the physical copies of the album directly through their site. Amazon are not the only retailers to make this decision. In another interesting turn, the album is not easily located on the website, and is only found by doing an actual search. As we previously reported Target are also choosing not to stock the physical copy of the album for the exact same reason.
