After two years of being off air, she’s returning to our screens and to CBS, the network that made her popular in Joan of Arcadia.

Tamblyn is set to play Jenny, the long-lost daughter of Charlie Harper (Charlie Sheen) in the hit comedy, Two and a Half Men. Jenny, has been described as a lesbian first and a rebel rouser second. Like her deceased father, Jenny has fun but the fun often leads to destruction.

Executive producer Chuck Lorre said, “She’s a chip off the old block” and that “[d]ecadence from the other side has been long overdue.” Jenny brings this decadence with her to the Sunset Strip from the Big Apple in the hopes of furthering her acting career. While out in LA she also comes looking for her father, only to find her uncle, Alan (Jon Cryer) and Walden Schmidt (Ashton Kutcher) living in his place.

Tamblyn is set to appear in a five episode arc, with the option of becoming a series regular. It was revealed back in May that Tamblyn’s character would be replacing Angus T. Jones as series regular after Jones called the show “filth” and urged viewers to stop watching. The actor later apologized but will still be stepping down from the full-time role when the series premieres in September.

What do you think, PopWrappers? Will Tamblyn make a good addition to the cast?
