AMC Drops Epic The Walking Dead Trailer At Comic-Con | The Walking Dead

Are you one of the sad sacks watching all the happenings at SDCC from the comfort of your own home like me? Well, let me be the first to welcome you to the Club of Longing.

The only consolation for being a member of this sad club is that we get to reap the rewards of all the exclusive trailers debuted at comic-con, like the Doctor Who Season 9 trailer released yesterday.

While I am not a Whovian, I am a hardcore Deadhead; which is why I almost soiled myself when I saw the four minute, eleven second trailer a few moments ago.

It is undoubtedly the best trailer AMC has ever released for the series, and the action and suspense displayed is intense. We get a good amount of screen time with a variety of characters, and even see that Morgan is back for good and badder than ever.

Unsurprisingly, Rick seems to be teetering on the verge of sanity once again; but honestly, lucid and rational Rick is boring. I much prefer imbalanced Rick in all of his psychotic glory.

We see Daryl get into a few kerfuffles, including a stand off with Rick. We get flashes of the Alexandria residents as well as some of The Walking Dead OGs. Ethan Embry made his triumphant appearance too, making this '90s kid SO happy. We also get to see some horrifyingly amazing swamp/sewer/leaf walkers. Basically just walkers unlike that of which we've seen before.

Hozier's "Arsonist's Lullaby" made for an exquisite soundtrack to the beautifully intense trailer.

But enough of my ramblings, check the trailer out for yourself below. Buckle up for the Season 6 premier on October 11; it's sure to be an enjoyably bumpy ride!
