Can we just start by saying how excited we are for AMC’s new show Preacher?!  Ok, now that we’ve gotten that out of our system, it’s time to share the exciting news regarding a new clip coming our way.

AMC is set to air Fear the Walking Dead on Sunday April 17th, and along with the new episode we’ll get an exclusive clip teasing the upcoming release of Preacher. Check out the tweet from the show’s Twitter page!

Preacher is based on the DC comic of the same name written by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon. The story follows a preacher who has a mission, and that mission is to make the Almighty confess that he has abandoned the world.  His name is Jesse Custer and he is accompanied by a drunk Irish Vampire named Cassidy (the focus of the new clip) and a few others.  The show is being directed by Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg.

Dominic Cooper will be playing the role of the preacher.  You may know this handsome devil from his time in the Marvel universe as Howard Stark, or his time as Henry Sturges in Abraham Lincoln:  Vampire Hunter.  He’s been involved in countless amazing works.  Ok, we admit it, we’re a little bit in love with him.  Cassidy will be played by Joseph Gilgun, who you may know from The Last Witch Hunter.
