I say it every single week, but this really doesn't get any easier. And the 'host with the most' Ryan Seacrest definitely doesn't make it any easier, either. Earlier tonight he took to his Twitter and announced that this evening would feature a FIRST in Idol history and he ended it with a hashtag #IdolTwist. Well thank you for making me even more nervous Mr. Seacrest. Double elimination? A tie in the votes? What exactly did he mean? Or was it a simple ploy to get everyone freaked out and talking about it? It's not a ploy. At the top of the show, Ryan reiterated what he mentioned on Twitter, that tonight would be SHOCKING. We were about to find out exactly how shocking. First though, we were treated to a stellar performance from judge Keith Urban who kicked things off with his song "Good Thing". That was a lot of fun, as I've always enjoyed Keith's music. He sounded amazing and worked the HELL out of his guitar!! Has everybody prepared themselves for the twist yet? After a quick recap of the performances, Ryan got down to business. Ryan revealed that the final 5 were going to make a decision: They choose one of two things; the person with the lowest votes goes home or NOBODY goes home and it's a double elimination next week. I have to admit, the twist was a bit of a let down, because it seemed obvious that they would all choose to save each other and deal with the double elimination next week. It needed to be unanimous though. But which decision did they make?! Well, it was a vote of YES only 3 times. So two of them said NO which meant they were up for an elimination. And who the unlucky person to leave next, you ask? Sam Woolf. Ugh. I have to admit that I assumed that all 5 of them would say YES and save themselves until the double next week. Farewell Sam. Are you guys surprised?? Let us know in the comments!Keep Up With PopWrapped On The Web!
