This was a pretty coveted spot!!

As you’ll all recall, whenever “American Idol” unveils it’s Top 10, it’s always an extra special moment for those contestants. This moment in the competition means that whomever makes it through tonight, makes the summer tour!

Ryan got the nerves rolling right out the gate, when he announced the result “may surprise some people.”

And what exactly did that mean?

Well, stay tuned.

Ryan was wasting no time and got right to work: He brought up CJ Harris, Dexter Roberts and Caleb Johnson to kick things off.

And thankfully, all 3 of them were safe!!

Resident judge Harry Connick Jr. then took the stage performing a medley of songs. Harry brought out his best crooning and I loved every second of it. The man just has this charm and personality on stage (and off) it’s hard not to love him. And of course, he sounded AMAZING!

Next up though:

MK Nobilette, Ben Briley, Majesty Rose, and Malaya Watson.

Malaya was the first to be safe, as was MK!!

Unfortunately, the same couldn’t be said for Ben and Majesty, as they both found themselves in the bottom 3.

Before we found out the final spot, it was time for one more musical performance, this time from Mali Music! Jennifer Lopez introduced the new artist, and I have to admit to already being a fan. His voice was smooth and stage presence incredible!! He’s found a new fan in yours truly! Go and download his new single “Beautiful”!!

We needed our final contestant in the bottom 3 though, and it all came down to Alex Preston, Jessica Meuse, Sam Woolf and Jena Irene.

And consider yours truly PISSED, because Sam Woolf is the final one in the bottom 3.

It was time to find out who was SAFE though, and that person was:

Sam Woolf!!

Final 2, and between Ben and Majesty…..

Ben was in jeopardy.

And after a performance of Grace Potter’s “Stars”, it was time to say goodbye. The judges opted out of using the save (which I assumed they would).

Farewell Ben Briley.

And America?

KEEP SAM WOOLF OUT OF THE BOTTOM 3.

That’s all.

Until next week!!
