Shane Avery Staff Writer @ShaneAvery We finally made it - next stop, live shows! Last night, "American Idol" delivered 8 finalists for the Top 15 girls, and 9 for the Top 15 guys, and with only one hour tonight, they had quite a few more to get through. First up though, was dealing with the cliffhanger we were left with yesterday, when CJ Harris and Casey Thrasher were forced to sing ONE LAST TIME in front of Jennifer, Harry and Keith. The show ended just before they announced who was through to the Top 30. So who was it? BOTH OF THEM!! This now meant though, that only 4 more guys were going to make it through. The first girl of the night stepped up, and it was Miley Cyrus look-alike Marrialle Sellers. Harry informed her she had moments of inconsistency, but ultimately they saw something in her, and she was going through! One of my personal, early favorites was Jena Asciutto, who was up on the chopping block following Marrialle. I still remember Jena's original audition and I was hoping that the judges would keep her around....which they did! It seemed as if the producers were digging right into my soul with the 3rd straight contestant up for a spot, as Caleb Johnson was another of my early favorites. After failing to make it in season 11, Caleb once again faced the judges. The great news just kept on coming (for me, as well as the singers!) as Caleb was given a yes by the judges, as was country singer Ethan Harris! However, it was then time for some goodbyes. Two of the girls were sent packing, as was David Willis. In the midst of the eliminations, anxiety hit a high point as Majesty Rose York entered the room. During her final solo performance, Majesty forgot some of the lyrics while singing "Wrecking Ball". Thankfully, my nerves were eased when the judges informed her that she too was moving on. One of the youngest competitors was then in the hot seat, as Briston Maroney, on the verge of tears, thought he was going home. However, Harry turned it around and sent him through. This resulted in Briston calling Harry out for being "a wicked man", to the laughs of the judges. With only one spot left for the guys, it was time for the ladies again. Three of those went to Kenzie Hall, Briana Oakley and Brandy Neelly. That officially left one spot left for the guys, and 1 for the ladies, and the last girls spot went to early standout Austin Wolfe! Finally, the last 2 males, Ben Briley and Neco Starr, made their way to the judges (accompanied by Ryan Seacrest) but there was a twist: The judges won't be picking the last spot... AMERICA WILL BE. Next week, the Idol hopefuls FACE OFF, but will be mentored by former judge Randy Jackson and Idol alum Adam Lambert and Chris Daughtry. Who makes it through? You'll have to tune in next week!! Girls  Emily Piriz Jillian Jensen Malaya Watson Bria Anai Jessica Meuse MK Nobilette Kristen O'Connor Andrina Brogden Marrialle Sellers Jena Asciutto Majesty Rose York Brandy Neelly Briana Oakley Kenzie Hall Austin Wolfe   Guys Spencer Lloyd George Lovett Sam Woolf Maurice Townsend Dexter Roberts Emmanuel Zidor Jordan Brisbane Malcolm Allen Alex Preston Casey Thrasher CJ Harris Caleb Johnson Ethan Harris Briston Maroney (plus Ben Briley or Neco Starr, of course)   Keep Up With PopWrapped On The Web!
