@ShaneAvery It was going to be another nail biter. Wednesday night, the Top 12 delivered songs that made them think of home, but the last thing they wanted was to ACTUALLY have to go back!! Ryan was ready to deliver the results, but first a quick recap and a word from the judges. One judge in particular felt the need to defend his critiquing.
Harry Connick Jr spoke out on the complaints he's received about what he's been telling the Idol hopefuls, and he reiterated how he felt: He loves each and every one of them and is only telling them these things to help them. He won't sugar coat anything.
Let's go though:
First 4 up were Emily Piriz, Sam Woolf, Ben Briley and Jessica Meuse.  One of them were in trouble though and that person was Emily Piriz. It seemed America  didn't love her ode to Jennifer Lopez last night when she performed "Let's Get Loud". Will it be enough to send her home?
We'll get to that.
We were treated to a GREAT performance from Phillip Phillips who sang his new single "Raging Fire" and I LOVED it!!!
Guess we have to get back to the drama though right?
Ryan brought up the next 4, who were nervous about their fates: Dexter Roberts, Jena Irene, Alex Preston, Majesty Rose
So who was safe and who was in jeopardy? Jena was in trouble. Dexter, Alex and Majesty were all safe!! That leaves us with Malaya Watson, MK Nobilette, CJ Harris, and Caleb Johnson. Malaya and MK were both in the bottom last week, so would it be a repeat?
Well, Malaya, CJ and Caleb were safe, which unfortunately meant MK was once again in danger.
It all came down to MK, Emily, and Jena. Ryan informed Jena that she was safe, and the person in danger of going home was: Emily!
MK was safe, which meant Emily had to sing for survival in front of the judges. Unfortunately, the judges weren't ready to give up the save and Emily was sent home.
We're down to 11 and it's going to keep getting harder every week!! Were you guys surprised by Emily's elimination?
