Amir Brandon Unveils The Video For “Cry In The Shower”

“…The shower is a great place to gather your thoughts. It’s also a great place to wallow. It’s my safe place.”

Music has been a big part of Amir Brandon’s life for several years and an outlet through which he can freely express himself in ways that, having grown up in an environment of intolerance and prejudice, he can’t and couldn’t do otherwise. The difficulties he’s faced have only served to inspire and fuel his creativity, which he’s proudly sharing with the world.

With almost 70K followers on TikTok, over 10 million streams across several platforms, and having impressed JoJo and everyone watching with a performance on her Instagram livestream, Amir has certainly made a name for himself and gotten himself noticed since first arriving on the music scene. His latest single, “Cry In The Shower” addresses something many who hear the song will no doubt be able to relate to – heartbreak – and PopWrapped are delighted to premiere its video.

In Amir’s own words, the song is: “…about someone that turned his back on me. I thought it was about time that he got a song. He was an integral part of my life, and soon enough I realized that he wasn’t who I thought he was. I thought I was important to him, so I felt like a bit of a fool when I realized I wasn’t. I feared losing him, and he just went on like it was nothing. The shower is a great place to gather your thoughts. It’s also a great place to wallow. It’s my safe place.

He goes on to add: “Lately I lock myself up in my bathroom. Or, in the middle of the woods with a watering can. Either way, I hope you vibe with Cry in the Shower, inspired by one of my coping mechanisms for heartache. The music video, like the song, is a stripped-down interpretation of what goes on in my mind when I’m wallowing in the shower. It’s like my safe place to say what I feel without any inhibitions. Can you relate?”
