@roxipowellWe've seen her as Fred on Angel, as Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, and then as Root on Person of Interest. Now Amy Acker is gravitating back to her Whedonverse roots, having landed a role on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Remember when Coulson (Clark Gregg) let a small tidbit of his love life slip in The Avengers? Well, Acker is bringing that love to life in Audrey, a talented cellist who's making waves in Portland with her musical skills. She's only signed on for one episode thusfar, but her role has been described as "pivotal," so we might see more of her. Audrey's past, which of course is filled with terrible, threatening secrets, comes back to haunt her. But what she doesn't know is Coulson is guarding her from afar. Acker's character was mentioned in a previous episode when Raina (Ruth Negga) reveals that Coulson's old flame "had cried for days after his death." Acker and Gregg , both alumni of Whedon's work, are working together again after Whedon's adaptation of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. She has also starred in ABC's Once Upon A Time as Dreamy's fairy girlfriend, Astrid, Dollhouse as Dr. Claire Saunders, and Alias as Kelly Peyton, among other film and TV credits. Tune in to Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D on Tuesdays, and catch Acker's debut performance as Audrey on April 22. Are you excited to meet the woman who stole Coulson's heart?
