Siblings who work together, stay together! NBC has just gotten hold of the US rights to Greg Poehler's Welcome To Sweden. While sister Amy is set to serve as executive producer, her brother will star in the series, which is based off of his own life experiences. The series is about a New York accountant (Greg Poehler) who falls in love with Emma, who happens to be Swedish, he decides to follow her all the way back to Sweden. Not only will the series be filmed in New York, Los Angeles and Sweden, but there will be a ton of celebrity cameos as well. Will Ferrell, Patrick Duffy, Amy Poehler, Gene Simmons and Aubrey Plaza will be among some of the celebrities you can expect to see. Some of the cast will be international, such as Illeana Douglas (Grace Of My Heart), Bomebusch (Solsidian) and Lena Olin (Chocolat). It looks as though this series makes some history for Sweden, as it is the first ever English language comedy series for Sweden's TV4. eOne television's Carrie Stein has this to say about the upcoming series 'This show is a 'First' on so many levels."It's the first English-language comedy for TV4, the first television show that Greg Poehler has ever created and starred in and executive produced with his sister Amy, and it's the first time NBC has been involved with a comedy shot in Stockholm with a large Swedish cast! The reason this comedy has attracted all these people is because the theme is universal, love conquers all...even if it means moving to Sweden." There are no official dates in regards to when the new comedy from NBC will air, as it has not as yet been confirmed by NBC.
