Though there have been reports that Amy Schumer met her new...and hot...boyfriend on an online dating app, the rumors simply are not true.
The cress and comedienne recently responded to these reports on her Instagram page after posting a photo of she and her sister as young children. The caption, which refers to the upcoming Golden Globes, said,
#tbt me and my date to the globes #roadmanager. My bf will be there too and we did NOT meet on bumble. Great site just not how we met.
Her boyfriend, Ben Hanisch, is a furniture designer in Chicago. Schumer, who is 34, has also denied that she met Hanisch on Bumble through her Twitter account with a tweet that said:https://twitter.com/amyschumer/status/684930618254299136
What is Bumble? It is a popular dating site, very similar to Tinder, but unlike the other dating apps out there, it requires women to make the first move. In other words, ladies, it's up to you to swipe right if you find someone who you would like to meet.
I fortunately was not the only one to not know about Bumble before today. Josh Charles, from The Good Wife, responded to the tweet from Schumer with a simple, "What's that?"
Schumer responded with, "It's a hair product. I prefer the old fashioned way #prostitution."
All jokes aside, the Golden Globe-nominated actress unveiled her relationship with Hanisch on Instagram earlier this week, and it's pretty darn cute. A source even revealed to People that, "Amy is so, so happy. She calls him her boyfriend and says he constantly tells her how pretty, sexy and perfect she is."
Sounds like Amy Schumer has found a prince among men, and we wish them a ton of luck! Check out the the happy couple below:
