Judd Apatow’s new movie Trainwreck is set to hit theatres next week and it’s filled with familiar faces.
The highly-anticipated romantic comedy does not stick to the structure of a conventional rom-com and this is not surprising if you have ever seen Amy Schumer’s show Inside Amy Schumer on Comedy Central. The star, who wrote the screenplay for the film, is known for her more raunchy material and honest sense of humour.
This is Judd Apatow’s first film that will have a female lead, his past films (The 40-Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up, This Is The End) all having male main characters. This new direction will undoubtably pay off with Schumer’s fresh sense of humour, and they also have some pretty impressive cameos pulling up the rear.
These include Daniel Radcliffe, LeBron James, John Cena, Vanessa Bayer, and Pete Davidson, to name a few.
Based on her own life, Schumer has written a hilarious and honest film about a woman who “does what she wants” and doesn’t care what anybody thinks so long as she is having fun and is surrounded by her friends.
Leading man Bill Hader (Saturday Night Live) is appearing in his first film as the romantic lead and it’s long overdue! With Apatow, Schumer, and Hader in the driver's seat, this is definitely not a film to miss and you can catch it in theatres on July 17, 2015.
