On August 2nd, Andy Grammer and American Authors began a tour together and started off right where I live in Birmingham, AL.  It was magical!  The location was Iron City which is a small and kind of intimate setting for the audience and performer.

AJR opened for the night bringing a fun vibe onto the stage.  They performed a couple fun songs plus the one everyone was waiting for called "I'm Ready".  They had a fun vibe and sound even bringing me to Ireland for a  moment.  They covered "Wagon Wheel" as their second to last song and it just put a huge smile on my face.  I listened to them a lot later that night after the show and got to snag a pic with them.

American Authors brought the house down!  The group performed the hits everyone knew like "Go Big or Go Home" and "Best Day of My Life", but they had so much more to offer.  American Authors did two cover songs including The Weekend's "I Can't Feel My Face". They just really know how to own the crowd.  They could start a song slowly and before you knew it, they would unleash a massive head banger!  I would recommend them as a band not to miss.

Andy Grammer is as amazing as you'd imagine!  One thing that might surprise you is that he and his band do not break under pressure.  Grammer was performing "Ladies", a song for his late mother, when the projector began coming down towards the stage.  The band members laughed a little but they never stopped the song and Grammer even played it off as his Mom being there once they finished the song.  Before the show, I knew him mostly as "Nah Nah Honey I'm Good", but after watching him live and listening to the soul in his music, I know that he is an artist to watch.  We have not seen the last of him.

Go check him out live!  I promise that you won't regret it. For more information about future tour dates, visit the tour site HERE!
