Andy Samberg To Host The Emmys 2015

“Brooklyn Nine Nine” and “Lonely Island” star Andy Samberg has officially been announced as the host of the 67th Emmy Awards.

The Emmys are about to get a lot funnier, as SNL Alum Andy Samberg will be hosting the 2015 slot.

The Brooklyn Nine-Nine star was announced yesterday (March 12) as the host of this year’s 67thEmmy Award ceremony. It won’t be the first time an SNL alumnus has taken the honor, as last yearSeth Meyers took the wheel.

Samberg is no stranger to hosting, having one of the funniest and successful stints as host on last year’s season of Saturday Night Live.

Samberg released the statement:

“Buckle your seatbelts, Emmy Viewers! […] Like in general you should buckle your seat belts in your car. In fact, even if you’re not an Emmy viewer, you should buckle your seatbelt. It can be dangerous on the road. Also, if you’re not an Emmy viewer, you should strongly consider becoming one this year, because I’m hosting and it’s gonna be a wild ride. So buckle your seat belts.”

I cannot wait.

In fact, everything’s coming up for Samberg, whose hit sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine was renewed for a third season by Fox.

Classic Andy Samberg. What a boss…
