Hollywood is not known for its long lasting romances. In fact, a lot of the biggest movie stars are famous for changing partners every few years — just ask Elizabeth Taylor.

Fame, and the long working hours, may have something to with this, especially when both members of the relationship are celebrities.

Think about it, your husband or wife, would often be out filming a movie with a gorgeous actress or handsome actor. The glare of the paparazzi and the rumor mill adding to the sense of, what if?

And this statistic and spotlight on a famous couple’s relationship may be troubling the mind of actress, Anna Faris, who is married to none other than Star Lord himself, Chris Pratt.

“We grapple with the idea of being a public couple. For the first time, maybe a year ago or 10 months ago, we were in the public a little bit,” Anna Faris told Isla Fisher while in her Unqualified podcast. “There were some tabloid rumors about strain on our relationship. I just remember feeling so hurt in a way that bothered me because I didn’t want to think of myself as somebody that could be affected by tabloid s~#t.”

And she admits that despite how strong her relationship with her fellow movie star husband is, she can’t help that rumors can get to her sometimes. “Of course, in this crazy world where he’s off doing movies and I’m in L.A. raising our child, of course I’m going to feel vulnerable, like any normal human would. It did make me feel like, ‘Is public perception—even though it’s false—is there a grain of something?’ It made me feel incredibly insecure.”

Fisher, who is married to movie star Sacha Baron Cohen, understood perfectly what Anna Faris was going through, and she had an explanation as to why tabloids often devour stories of infidelity, whether they are real or not. “It’s much more interesting to see a story about a tumultuous relationship than a happy one,” she pointed out. Then she joked that Chris and Anna should (release) a “sex tape” to squash the persistent rumors.

Cheer up Anna, there are Hollywood couples that do last, it just so happened that the break-ups just like what Isla said, are more news-worthy. And pretty sure Chris would always remember and cherish the fact that Anna loved him long before he was hot or super-famous, that should count for something, right?
