Apparently homophobia isn’t isolated to only one member of America’s most watched dynasty. Following in his father’s webbed footsteps, Willie Robertson proclaimed in a recent interview with CNN”s Kyra Phillips that he believes all LGBT people are going to hell.
Willie stated that he follows a literal interpretation of the Bible and firmly believes same-sex marriage is an abomination. He was asked if he agreed with his father’s, Phil Robertson, sentiments in which he compared gay people to prostitutes, drunkards, adulterers, swindlers, and terrorists. Willie replied:
“I believe what the Bible says,” he answered. “You have to read the Bible and make up your own mind. God will ultimately decide that. We don’t profess to be God and we certainly don’t profess to be perfect because we have our own sins to deal with.”
It’s possible the Robertson clan may want to consult the Bible to see if it has any suggestions for turning around the ratings of their reality show which saw a record low of 4.7 million viewers for their most recent episode.
