Kerri Kwong Staff Writer When CEO Tim Cook introduced the new iPhones over a week ago, there was no doubt he had really set Apple fans up for excitement. Today, finally, is the glorious day of the highly anticipated Apple iPhone 5S and 5C release. Many Apple fans have finally received the new iPhones. Reports say that some started lining up outside their local Apple stores since Monday evening, accumulating up to hundreds of people in queue early this morning. It may seem shocking, but previous Apple iPhone releases had hundreds of people in line before the stores had even opened as well. Loyal Apple users are being very supportive and patient with the iPhone 5S release. In fact, the iPhone 5S seems to be the only phone that is heavily focused and celebrated on right now, and there hasn’t been much mention regarding the iPhone 5C, besides the fact that the plastic doesn’t feel cheap. Those who have already gotten their hands on the iPhone 5S have shared some positive feedback to the world and have stated that it is worth the wait. Even news sites such as Daily Mail and Extreme Tech are sharing positive reviews. Daily Mail’s Mark Prigg says the iPhone 5S is the “best smartphone ever made”. Extreme Tech says the iPhone 5S is a good phone and that it’s worth the investment. CNET has done a full in-depth review, which will be very helpful to those who are contemplating between the iPhone 5S or another phone. Other reviewers, users, and comments are saying that the fingerprint sensor is quick and fast and makes the iPhone 5S all the more interesting. People are also saying that the iPhone 5S is delivering everything Apple had promised, including the camera upgrade and faster processor. It hasn’t been all about rainbows and butterflies today, though. Other disastrous events has also been occuring across the US. As reported by, Los Angeles Times, multiple fights have been broken out at the Apple Store in Pasadena. Two people have already been arrested this morning regarding this. A YouTuber recorded a small fight that had happened in the queue outside the Apple store last night in Portland, Oregon. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9-H21T-ub8] What do you think? Is it crazy that people are fighting each other over the iPhone 5S release or does it happen so often that it doesn’t even come as a surprise? As we previously mentioned, the iPhone 5S starts at $199 for 16GB, $299 for 32GB, and $399 for 64GB, based on a two year contract. The iPhone 5C starts at $99 for 16GB and $199 for 32GB on wireless plans as well. Otherwise, the 5C starts at $549 for a 16GB and $649 for a 32GB, unlocked and contract-free. The silver and “space gray” iPhones are available for order right now, if you are able to wait 7-10 days for them to arrive. Unfortunately, those who want to order the gold iPhone 5S will have to wait until October.
