Ariana Grande Apologizes For ‘I Hate America’ Comment

Ariana Grande apologized for her “I hate America” comments in a doughnut shop last week, after causing outrage when the whole scene went viral.

After being filmed licking a doughnut and placing it back on the shop counter, as well as being overheard saying that she hates America, US pop-star Ariana Grande has issued a grovelling apology.

She begins with declaring:

“I am EXTREMELY proud to be an American and I’ve always made it clear that I love my country.”

then goes on to say:

“What I said in a private moment with my friend, who was buying the donuts, was taken out of context and I am sorry for not using more discretion with my choice of words.”

The incident is now being investigated by police and public health officials in Lake Elsinore.

On the same day she released the apology, it was announced that Demi Lovato would be replacing her at the MLB All-Star Game concert this coming Saturday. As to why Grande won’t be appearing, she said in the statement:

“I have had emergency oral surgery and due to recovery I cannot attend the show. I hope to make it up to all those fans soon.”

This latest controversy is just the latest in a string of problems that former Nickelodeon star Grande has had to address in recent months including claims that she issues ridiculous demands to photographers,

Do you accept Grande’s apology? Do you think she should face further consequences as a result of her actions? Let us know your thoughts!
