Woohoo! Great news for Arrested Development fans, show creator, Mitch Hurwitz has publicly announced that a movie will most likely happen before the fifth season. The news came about during his 2013 New York TV Festival keynote speech, where Hurwitz noted the insane cast schedules makes shooting a full season very difficult. Those who watched season four will have noticed the lack of scenes involved the entire ensemble. "I really want to… do the movie," Hurwitz continued. "And then bring the series back after that. It's not my decision, but it's what I want to do." We doubt that many fans would be disappointed with this. Of course, the  Arrested Development movie would be an exclusive Netflix release much like season four. Interestingly, Hurwitz admitted that due to scheduling conflict, the show had to change its format in the last season, and he apologised for not preparing fans adequately beforehand. "The storytelling changed. That first episode became much more like chapter one of a novel than episode one of a series. And I didn't prep [the fans] - I'm really sorry about that."

Gob Bluth himself, Arrested Development's Will Arnett also alluded recently to the possibility of a Netflix original movie. He admitted there has been "a lot of talk" about bringing the show back in a different way." "There is a plan to do something," he told press. "I don't want to say exactly what it's going to be yet, but we are actively talking about how it's going to come together in its next form. Needless to say, we are going to continue on in telling the story of the Bluths and it will be sooner rather than later."
