The series co-creator hinted at the introduction of DC Comics superhero, Metamorpho, by tweeting an image of a cartoon van marked with a ‘Metamorpho Chemical’ logo.More superheroes are set to be introduced in season two of The CW’s hit show Arrow, according to executive producer Marc Guggenheim.
In the DC Comics stories, the character Metamorpho has the ability to shape-shift into various forms, using the elements contained within the human body. DC Comics writer Geoff Johns, who is currently writing the introduction for The Flash into the Arrow story-arc, has recently hinted that the show could feature more super-powers and “insane concepts.”
“These powers won’t be treated as commonplace,” said executive producer Andrew Kreisberg. “They will be extraordinary events, so the world and characters will react accordingly.”
The pair of execs, Kreisberg and Guggenheim, recently admitted that Dick Grayson remains the “Holy Grail” of the DC Universe characters for Arrow’s writing team. For those who may not know, Grayson is Batman’s former sidekick Robin, who later becomes Nightwing, and in some instances, even dawns the Caped Crusader’s costume as Batman.
“We’re like fanboys and it’s wish fulfillment for us every time we put a new DC character on the table,” said the duo. The second season of Arrow is scheduled to premiere on October 9th on The CW in the US and Sky1 in the UK.
