Ashanti made it seem like forever was gonna pass us by before she released her latest studio album, Braveheart. However, now she’s got it out on her own as an independent release, there’s no label to let the era come to an end due to lack of buzz or anything. Therefore, we hadn’t heard from her in a while. But now she’s now back with her new single, “Early In The Morning”, which got a video to get fans excited.

The track features French Montana and serves as the third single to be lifted from Braveheart, preceded by “Never Should Have” and “I Got It”. She first announced its release when she unvieled the official cover art – seen above – which finds her lying topless under her name. The heat was turned up immediately, as Ashanti only used the artwork to give a first glimpse of what was to follow.

The visuals find the songstress falling for a guy and being all about him. She’s seen hitting the studio and rolling in bed, but all she does during those times is think of him, text him, etc. With a cameo from younger sister Shia included in the clip, Ashanti later takes us to the club, where she puts on a show for her lover. It’s all sexy and sensual, while she also manages to deliver bits of choreography.
