High School Musical
star, Ashley Tisdale, just released a brand new single after teasing fans for weeks with hints of a special project that she had in the works.
The 28-year-old singer and actress took to her Facebook page
with an emotional video announcement that details the special project: her new single, “You’re Always Here,” which is dedicated to her late grandfather.
“I was inspired to start writing and it was helping me heal and I would go on walks and come home and have written stuff and Chris, who produces music, sat down and produced and we wrote this song together and that’s the song for my grandfather,” she says in the video.
Christopher French is Ashley’s fiancé, whom she told Ryan Seacrest is “the guy.”
"I think from the moment that him and I met, I just knew it. I was like. ‘Okay, this is the guy,’" she explained. "And he knew the same thing. It was just this feeling that it doesn’t get any better. I can’t explain it!” You can check out her full interview with Ryan below.
New music isn’t the only thing keeping Ashley busy these days, the actress has been staying busy this year with roles in Scary Movie 5
, Super Fun Night
, Phineas and Ferb,
and an upcoming film with Chris Evans, Topher Grace and Aubrey Plaza called A Many Splintered Thing,
which is due out next year.
