Astrologer Drop New Single “Why Don’t You Like Me Anymore?”

‘Legerdemain (L)’, the brand new 7-track EP from Andrew Cameron Cline’s Astrologer, is finally out tomorrow, November 5th, via Lolipop Records, and today, PopWrapped are delighted to premiere the final single to be lifted from the collection, “Why Don’t You Like Me Anymore?”

Cline says that the song is: “…about estrangement and the feeling of rejection. Like so many other love songs, it is about people who traipse through our lives and disappear.” That fleeting feeling is captured via the very nature of the track, too — it feels as though as soon as it arrives, it ends. In that short timeframe, Cline embarks on an inquisitive journey in which he attempts to find the root of a relationship’s downfall. It’s crushing material, but in that heartbreak and frenzy of questions, it encapsulates a feeling that most if not all of us know all too well.

He shares of the new EP: “Legerdemain means ‘sleight-of-hand.’ It is an album split into two parts, the left and right hand. On the left side, an EP comprised of songs that, for me, evoke a sense of melancholy. Grief, loss, and ‘The Call of The Void’ are things that are found here. On the other hand (Legerdemain R), we will find a warm and blissful place, full of new hope and love.”
