Here's a titan-load of good news for all Attack On Titan fans! During an interview with literary magazine Da Vinci, Hajime Isayama (the creator of the massive franchise) revealed that although he planned to end the manga after 16 volumes, he decided to extend his narrative plans in order to further develop his characters. Isayama further added that he, personally, wants the manga to end in about 3 more years. That means we have three more years of gruesome titan slayings and brutal yet highly effective storytelling to look forward to. Attack On Titan, or Shingeki no Kyojin, was launched in Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in 2009. Since then, this series has become insanely popular and has more than 36 million copies in print. Attack On Titan tells the story of the bloody ongoing battle between mankind and giants (known as titans) that wander free on Earth, terrorizing citizens who are enclosed behind a giant wall. This summary doesn't even scratch the surface of what the manga is all about. For those of you who have not read the manga, please do. Its much more detailed than the anime and will have you thirsting for more. Attack On Titan volumes 1-13, Attack On Titan: Junior High, Attack On Titan: Before The Fall, and Attack On Titan: No Regrets spin-off manga are available for purchase online or in bookstores near you! Also, if you have not seen the anime (that's another thing that should be on your must watch list) then you can stream it on Netflix, Hulu and Crunchyroll or you can buy it online or in stores near you! Now all that's left is for there to be an announcement for another season of Attack On Titan (which i'm hoping is bound to happen due to the overwhelming popularity of the series). What do you guys think of Attack On Titan's extension? Are you pleased or were you hoping for it to end? Also, what are your predictions for how this series will end? Let us know in the comments below!
