Crack open your piggy bank X-Men fans, the Midwinter Ball, an Australian charity fundraiser, is offering a dinner date with Wolverine.
Launched in 2000, this annual eBay charity auction has been successful over the years raising nearly 3 million dollars since it first started. This year the two major recipients will be Rare Cancers Australia and The Luke Batty Foundation.
The majority of the items being auctioned include dinner with a number of Australian politicians, including the Prime Minister himself, Tony Abbott. However, among the list you will find a once in a life time opportunity. Australian born actor, Hugh Jackman, famous for his portrayal of Wolverine in the X-Men franchise, is offering a evening for two with him and his wife in New York.
The package include a flight to New York City on Qantas Airlines, and in addition to Huge Jackman and Deborah-Lee Furness, the meal will also include Foreign Minster Julie Bishop. Bidding starts at $10,000 and is officially under way.
How much can Midwinter Ball raise for the double date of a lifetime? We'll have to see when the auction wraps up on June 17th. For a complete list of what's up for grabs, check out the eBay auction site.
