New Avengers: Age of Ultron Clip Hints At Black Widow Back-Story

Marvel has released a second trailer for the upcoming sequel, “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” and it’s overflowing with action and even some foreshadowing.

With the debut of the first Avengers: Age of Ultron teaser trailer late last year and the recent Ant-Mantrailer, Marvel seems to be on a roll: as yet another trailer for the highly anticipated second installment of The Avengers presents itself in all its glory.

Having garnered over three and a half million views over the span of twelve hours, the trailer gives us a further look into our favorite Avengers’ fight against the new big baddie, Ultron, voiced by the impeccable James Spader.

However, instead of looking like a typical trailer such as its first counterpart, the new trailer offers more of a mash-up of several explosive action sequences- as well as a few shots of a possible young Natasha Romanoff, an introduction to Black Widow’s back-story, can we assume? If so, Marvel seems to have heard and given into the pleas of its fans, demanding and protesting for a standalone Black Widow movie over the past two years.

As an alternating dialogue from Ultron and Tony Stark’s scenes ensues, we see even more of the film’s already gigantic cast: Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, Andy Serkis’ yet unnamed character, as well as another mysterious character which makes an appearance here.

All our favorite Avengers seem on edge throughout the trailer, as it gives us a closer look into the fight between the Hulk and Iron Man in his Hulkbuster suit; an argument arises between Thor and Tony; Captain America as he seemingly faces defeat at the hands of Ultron’s minions; and Bruce Banner as he begins his transition into the Hulk.

You can check out the new trailer below, with the film itself hitting theaters this May 1st.
