Monty Geer for Creative Recreation

Between keeping their followers up on new music and the latest fashion trends, the creative masterminds over at apparel company Creative Recreation tend to find a young celeb that embodies their fearless mission and can wear a pair of sick sneakers oh-so well. For this month’s campaign, they have decided to go with young actor Monty Geer, who stars on MTV’s Awkward.

A little bit about Creative Recreation, if you aren’t familiar with their kick-ass clothing:

Creative Recreation was founded in Los Angeles in 2002 with the sole purpose of designing footwear that fuses work and play.

Inspired by the spirit of street art – with its bold creative expression and out of bounds thinking – Creative Rec doesn’t sit quietly or complacently on the sideline.

We thrive in energy-charged environments, where statements are made and are unified by a single idea – that creativity matters.

In keeping with their “fearless attitude” theme, they decided to go for gold and visit Skydive Perris for a little high in the sky fun. The whole experience was documented, along with a drool-inducing photoshoot, for the blog. Though he has been skydiving before, Monty did harbor a small amount of apprehension, but mentioned that was his motivation for wanting to do it again:

“I think it’s important to do things that terrify you. Too many people get paralyzed by fear; and as a result end up playing their whole life too safe and forever stay in their comfort zone. But the best moments and opportunities are always outside that zone. So do something today that scares you.”

His goofy yet confident personality is the perfect combination for this campaign; keeping us on the edge of our seats but laughing the whole time. Check out Monty’s adrenaline rush of a dive below.
