Who would have ever thought that one of the Backstreet Boys would get into making films!
Nick Carter appears to be the first one to take that giant step forward by co-writing a film called Evil Blessings, alongside filmmaker Sxully Essex. Carter has already launched a crowd funding campaign, in order to get $85,000.00 to fund the project and get the ball rolling on this horror film.
The singer posted a video talking about the details of the project on crowd funding’s website Indiegogo.
He’s offering lots of perk packages to anyone who helps out with donations for the film project. You can get red carpet tickets, a dinner with Nick Carter and even be credited as an executive producer!
Anyone got ten grand I can borrow?!
Carter has described the film as ” a classic horror story about three friends who go up in the mountains to hunt, but soon discover they are the ones being hunted an ancient family of evil.”
Anyone else feel like they just read the plot outline for Cabin In The Woods? Carter went on to reveal that this project is a “longtime dream” of his, and added that it will “go back to the roots of horror.”
Carter is one of many celebrities that have used crowd-funding as a way to campaign for a cause, Zach Braff, David Fincher, the crew from Veronica Mars and more recently Spike Lee have launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for his next film.
