It’s common knowledge that Barbra Streisand is not the kind of singer who does all the late-night promo interviews anymore, and it has been that way for a long time now. However, she seems to have made an exception! The idol has agreed to appear on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon this coming Monday.
NBC has, of course, started hyping the superstar’s appearance on the network’s late-night show, describing September 15 as “a night of talk, comedy and performance,” and stating it’s the first time in the last 50 years of Streisand’s career that she will properly appear on that kind of a show. In all these years, she has done several brief appearances, but hasn’t managed to do one of those either in the last 20 years. Monday's show is scheduled to be dedicated to Barbra in its entirety, as she will be the only guest for the night. It's totally interesting to see an icon of her caliber returning to TV for the first time in years, and it's the least they could have done.
The legendary songstress is currently promoting her upcoming, 34th studio album, Partners, which is scheduled to arrive in stores on September 16. The record includes duets with John Legend, Michael Bublé, Blake Shelton, Stevie Wonder, and even Elvis Presley.
