Here’s one of those stories that we all need to see a lot more often; one about kindness, love, and hope.

We all remember Batkid, aka 5 year old Miles Scott, who has spent too much of his short life fighting leukemia. The Make-A-Wish Foundation united with 25,000 citizens of San Francisco last November to give him an action-packed day that before he had only ever dreamed of.

“I wish to be a real Batman” was the brave little fighter’s wish, and he sure got it.

San Francisco became Gotham City for a day. With thousands of volunteers and spectators cheering him on, little Miles had his own Lamborghini BatMobile (with a car seat inside, of course) and rode around the city escorted by a Batman impersonator. He did everything from foiling The Riddler’s plans of robbing a bank to saving a woman tied to a fake bomb.

“One thing that struck me was how many people were holding up signs saying, ‘Save us Batkid’, and I looked at those signs and I thought, ‘You mean that literally.’ In helping him to live this dream, we were saving ourselves,” Chris Taylor of Mashable said.

Now, we’re extremely happy to note that Miles’ cancer is in remission.

And his inspiring story as a real-life superhero, in more ways than one, is becoming a documentary. Check out the trailer below!
