And a treat it was, for viewers who didn't mind seeing a bit of a spoiler that is, of the eagerly anticipated The Day of the Doctor. BBC Breakfast aired a special behind-the-scenes trailer chocked full of interview clips, sneak peeks, and other gems from the show's 50th celebration episode. Fans who would like to be completely surprised should perhaps not proceed.... The half century birthday of Doctor Who can boast such accolades as a special ceremony at Buckingham Palace. Not many shows earn this level of respect and love, but the magnitude and depth of this celebration becomes increasingly clear after watching the behind-the-scenes special that aired on the UK morning show. The very special episode, set to take to the TV airwaves this Saturday, as well as showings in 3D at select UK cinemas, will be a culmination of ongoing elements from the show, as well as new surprises. In other words, it should thrill and entertain long time fans of the series, as well as occasional viewers who will be popping in for the special. The special provides a sneak peek interview with cast members, such as David Tennant, who will be returning as the tenth Doctor. Confirming that he enjoyed every minute of the experience, veteran costar John Hurt chimes in that he jumped at the opportunity to come back. Also clearly pleased and proud of the episode is Jenna Coleman, who portrays the show's Clara. The main plot details are still under wraps, but don't be too surprised at who or what might show up on Saturday's landmark episode. One that has been anticipated for years, the episode will most definitely be the highlight of the weekend for faithful viewers and new fans alike.
