The New Beauty And The Beast Trailer Is Here And It Is Perfect

Disney is loving making live-action remakes of their classics, and, from the looks of its brand new trailer, Beauty and the Beast may be its best one yet!

From Cinderella to The Jungle Book, Disney has stayed away of making a live-action musical version of their classics. Maybe it is just because those two aren’t known for having a ton of memorable songs. (It isn’t true at all, but we’re just trying to justify Disney’s thinking.) But, whatever it is, these remakes have been just the stories. No catchy songs about the “Bare Necessities” of life or Cinderella realizing what love really is in “So This Is Love”.

That is, until now. With this remake of Beauty and the Beast comes the first time a live-action Disney remake will tackle the music. And, for fans of the musical, you might even hear a few tunes from the Broadway show.

Unfortunately, not the best addition to the Broadway show, though. “If I Can’t Love Her” is being replaced with an original song written for the movie. Why? Your guess is good as ours.

However, the trailer does an amazing job of getting us ready for the movie. In the first scene, we see Maurice talking about Belle, and Kevin Kline makes for a pretty great Maurice.

It also assuages some of those fears about what the household objects would look like in the film. The stills of them weren’t too amazing, and fans were justifiably worried about what this movie was going to be like. But with a few glimpses at Lumiere and Cogsworth, those fears have been squashed. They look pretty amazing as the candelabra and the clock, and we’re excited about it.

Check out the trailer below.

Beauty and the Beast hits theaters March 17, so start getting ready to be their guest. Because, honestly, you won’t want to miss this one!
