Digital Spy reported earlier today that the Sherlock star, Benedict Cumberbatch, will be starring in an upcoming short film. Beaten and covered with blood, Benedict plays an ex-soldier called Wallace in Little Favour. Wallace is asked for help by a friend who once saved his life. Judging by the 26 second sneak-peek (of which ten seconds is actual footage), it almost seems like the favor is asking to take a life for a life. Benedict’s fans seem to be very excited for the film to come out. Many female fans are leaving comments on the trailer video about how “sexy” Benedict is and how much they feel the need to save him. A couple users have even commented that the fandom will not forgive the person who hurts Benedict in the making of the film. Be warned that there are also some pretty inappropriate blurbs in the comment section. Little Favour is a short thriller project funded by fans and supporters through IndiegogoTheir Indiegogo campaign raised £86,240 ($116,622 USD), which is 345% over the initial goal of £25,000 ($33,807 USD)! On Twitter, Ben Dillon (one of the producers from SunnyMarch) sent out a tweet back in May, thanking fans for £96,240 ($130,145 USD) raised for Little Favour. Nonetheless, big props to SunnyMarch and supporters for making this happen. Little Favour is written and directed by Patrick Victor Monroe of Thin Black Glass. This will be Patrick’s first time as a director. He will be working alongside with producer Adam Ackland and Ben Dillon of SunnyMarch Productions. The short thriller film will be 22 minutes long. There is yet to be a set release date, but you can follow SunnyMarch’s Twitter to check for updates regarding the film’s release.
