It looks like a handful of our favourite British shows will be honored this year at 2014 National Television awards. This years nominee’s include our favourite detective, Sherlock's Benedict Cumberbatch, The X Factor, and the Irish-English comedy duo Ant & Dec, reports Digital Spy. Dermot O’leary will be hosting the 19th NTA’s which will take place at the O2 in London on Wednesday, January 22. Ant and Dec, who garnered a few nominations for their shows this year, are no strangers to the NTA’s as they have scored numerous wins over the last decade. DigitalSpy reports the pair is aiming to make their Entertainment Presenter victory score 13. Others in their category include O’Leary, Alan Car, Keith Lemon, and Graham Norton. Making our heart hurt and leaving us quite frankly indecisive, Benedict Cumberbatch and David Tennant have both earned nominations for their work on their respective shows, Sherlock and Broadchurch, in the new category Best TV Detective. The two will be up against Olivia Colman (Broadchurch), Idris Elba (Luther) as well as Suranne Jones (Scott and Bailey). Nominated for the Documented Series category as are follows: The Great British Bake OffAn Idiot Abroad , Paul O'Grady: For The Love of Dogs,  and Top Gear . Facing off in the Documentary Series category are  Educating YorkshireInside Death Row with Trevor McDonaldPaul O'Grady's Working Britain and Penguins - Spy in the Huddle. In the reality show sect, nominees include Strictly Come Dancing, Dancing on Ice, the Voice and Britain's Got Talent. We know what you are thinking. Dancing on Ice? Sorry…what? Of course, all of PopWrapped’s favourite British shows go head to head in the Drama category. Doctor Who (squeal) is up against Broadchurch (Oh Tennant) Call The Midwife and, gasp, Downton Abbey. It’s a good thing we don’t have to choose because we want them all to win….oh wait, we do get to choose. Luckily for us. The NTA’s is the one and only TV awards shows that allows winners to be chosen by the public via a nationwide poll. So even us americans and Canadians have to choose. Sophie’s choice, right? If you are brave enough, you can vote a where polls will close at noon on Wednesday, January 22, 2014.
