Last night, Chicago saw Jennifer Lawrence and her newest girl pal, comedic actress and Trainwreck star Amy Schumer, join singer Billy Joel up on stage during his performance of Uptown Girl! Ironically enough, the song itself features in Amy’s recent comedic hit.
The two actresses have become fast friends over the last couple of months and were captured on stage dancing, and jumping on top of the iconic singer’s grand piano. You can check the short clip below.
The duo practiced their routine earlier that day to an empty stadium and even posed backstage after the concert with servicemen and women who attended the sold out concert.
Jennifer Lawrence, who has started promotional work this week for the upcoming final Hunger Games film – Mockingjay – Part 2, told the New York Times on Wednesday (26th August) that she and Amy have become really close since meeting just over a few months. The blonde duo are currently writing a script together in which they will star in.
“We play sisters,” Lawrence tells the New York Times. “We’re almost done writing. It just flowed out of us. We’ve got about 100 pages right now.”
The 23-year-old actress also gushed about her love for the Trainwreck star who was photographed with Jennifer back in August, jet skiing up at the Hamptons and explains how they met.
I emailed her after I saw ‘Trainwreck’ and said, ‘I don’t know where to get started. I guess I should just say it: I’m in love with you,’” she recalled. “We started emailing, and then emailing turned to texting.
After that, the pair become fast buds. It seems whatever these two cook up should surely be a riot. Watch this space!
