For those who have never heard of the show Who Do You Think You Are, the premise of the show is that each week a celebrity will go on a journey to trace his or her family tree and find out about their ancestors.
The show originally aired in 2010 on NBC, it aired on the network from 2010-2012 before executives decided to cancel the show after three seasons. The show’s cancellation was short-lived as the show was picked up by TLC which premiered the fourth s
eason of the show last July.
The show, that has been averaging 1.8 million viewers this season, was picked up by TLC for a 10 episode- 5th season that is set to air in 2014. They have yet to say who will be featured on the new season but to big stars have been featured in the past like Lisa Kudrow, Sarah Jessica Parker, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kelly Clarkson and Martin Sheen.
While you’ll have to wait until 2014 to see the new season there is still one episode left of the current season that is set to air tonight
,and the celebrity featured in the episode will be The Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons.
In an exclusive clip, from The Huffington Post, from season finale it shows Parsons making a huge revelation about his “six-time great grandfather”. Parsons discovers that his ancestor was made a premiere architect, first class to the King of France in 1787, just two years before the start of the French Revolution. He finds all this out while visiting a French church that was considered one of his ancestor’s architectural masterpieces.
