*Warning: Brooklyn Nine Nine spoiler ahead!*

The devastating plot twist in the season finale of Brooklyn Nine Nine saw both Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) and Gina Linetti (Chelsea Peretti) leave the precinct and become reassigned to a public relations post within the NYPD's HR department.

Andre Braugher is an irreplaceable cast member on the show and, don't fear, both he and Peretti have been confirmed by FOX to be in the upcoming season.

We hope he will soon escape from the blackmailing clutches of Madeline Wuntch (Kyra Sedgwick) and return to his rightful place as Captain of the precinct, however, in the meantime, his replacement has been confirmed to be Captain Seth Dozerman (Bill Hader).

Fresh from the hit summer movie Trainwreck and a legendary graduate from the halls of Saturday Night Live, where he worked with Andy Samberg (Jake Peralta) and created one of the shows most well-known sketches, Laser Cats, Bill Hader is a perfect replacement during the Braugher drought fans will have to endure.

Samberg said in an interview with EW: "Captain Dozerman is a severely anal-retentive personality. He is not an obvious fit with the precinct — and Jake in particular — but Jake does his best to acclimate.”

Everyone is pretty excited to see what Bill Hader will bring to the role of Captain; Samberg commented that "Bill is funny as hell in the role," and I don't think anyone doubts it!

It'll be pretty exciting to see Samberg's character have to adjust to the new Captain and the new ways the precinct will be run.

Catch the season 3 premiere of Brooklyn Nine Nine on September 27.
