With Captain America: Civil War now well past its post-release hype, several deleted scenes have surfaced featuring more of your favorite Marvel characters and villains.
In this latest deleted scene, the King of Wakanda and special agent Black Widow have a war with words as they discuss the controversial apprehension of Bucky Barnes the Winter Soldier.
Watch the most recent Captain America: Civil War deleted scene below:
While this scene was definitely not vital for the movie's pacing, it does inform us of the highly invincible suit that Black Panther was wearing while blocking high caliber bullets. It also provides a bit more depth to the relationship between the elusive Black Widow and the mysterious Wakandan prince.
Since this scene was left on the cutting room floor, perhaps its original purpose was to build on Widow's betrayal of Black Panther later on in the film when she helps Steve Rogers (Captain America) and Bucky Barnes (The Winter Solider) escape from what could have been the final showdown.
Widow and Panther's dramatic deleted scene joins another that was released recently. The other Captain America: Civil War deleted scene features the villain Zemo and was released about a week ago. The scene showed the vengeful antagonist setting up his theft of identity from Dr. Broussard.
Of course, the scene features another snippet of Zemo obsessively listening to his wive's voicemail, so perhaps this is why the scene didn't make the final cut.
As much as I love and support DC Comic movies, at least Marvel's deleted scenes don't take viable chunks of character and plot development out of their films for no apparent reason.
